BORDC invites you to join advocates from across the Bay Area for a reception. Food will be served and a cash bar (with one free drink) will be available.
Karen Korematsu, daughter of Fred and Kathryn Korematsu, is the Co-founder (along with the Asian Law Caucus) and member of the Advisory Council of the Korematsu Institute.
Nadia Kayyali is the NLG legal fellow at the Bill of Rights Defense Committee. She also serves as Student National Vice President for the National Lawyers Guild. She graduated cum laude from UC Hastings College of Law in May 2012.
Rainey Reitman leads the activism team at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, is a founder and steering committee member for the Bradley Manning Support Network, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Bill of Rights Defense Committee.
Shahid Buttar serves as the executive director of the Bill of Rights Defense Committee. He graduated from Stanford Law School in 2003 and worked on the senior staff of the American Constitution Society and Muslim Advocates before joining BORDC.
Veena Dubal is a former Staff Attorney at the Asian Law Caucus and a PhD candidate in Jurisprudence and Social Policy at UC Berkeley. She received her JD from UC Berkeley Law School in 2006.
