Yes, we know -- we're just ASKING for it! After all, it's the return of Bootie Request Night! Request your favorite artists and songs to be mashed-up, and resident DJs A Plus D, along with Dada, will do their best to play it! You can make requests the old-fashioned way by coming up to the DJ booth and writing it down on the clipboard, or do it via Twitter by mentioning @bootiemashup in your tweet! Bootie's house band Smash-Up Derby will also be joining in the festivities -- call out a mashup from their extensive repertoire, and the band will (hopefully) play it!
For the Midnight Mashup Show, it's the Bootie debut of Cemora Valentino-Devine, the Queen of the White Horse in Oakland. In the Lounge upstairs, Dcnstrct and Sharon Buck bring the sexy electro, while John!John! seizes control of Room Four for a kooky party where anything can happen! All this, plus Boo-Tea in the Green Room, as Shana and Devon pour you free hot cups of amazing teas to keep your energy going!
Launched in 2003 in San Francisco by A Plus D -- aka DJs Adrian & Mysterious D -- Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Voted \"Best Club Night\" for the past seven years, Bootie keeps your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party. Providing the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- and free mashup CDs given away like candy -- it's a place where everyone is welcome.
