Everyone loves a birthday at Bootie, but no one more than resident DJ Tripp, who will be celebrating his birthday at Bootie with a special prime-time set for the 9th year in a row! Helping him celebrate in the Main Room will be Mysterious D (of A Plus D) and David X. At 11 PM, Hubba Hubba Revue brings some of the Bay Area's sexiest burlesque performers, aerialists, and acrobats to the main stage, hosted by emcee Kingfish!
Upstairs in the Lounge, Damn Gina! continues their monthly residency, as DJ Fox and Kool Karlo spin super fun dance music to get your groove on. In the Loft, H.Y.S.L. brings the vibe of an upstart warehouse party back to the club -- from bass and synths, to hip hop and snare drums, get eclectic, get down, but always \"Handle Your Shit, Lady!\" And in the Dazzle Room, Radio Valencia, the Mission's community radio station, takes over with funk and hip-hop mashups. DJs Juan Rapido, Malderor, and Olde Nasty spin the groovy tunes, while broadcasting live all night on RadioValencia.fm.
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Voted \"Best Club Night\" for the past eight years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations. Mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party, it's a place where everyone is welcome. And with free mashup CDs given away like candy, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
