Hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden come metal gods Dark Tranquillity. Dark Tranquillity is know as being one of the key pioneers that has made melodic death metal what it is today. Started in 1989 and having featured members such as Anders Fridén (In Flames) and Daniel Antonsson (Soilwork) Dark Tranquility is seen as one of the longest-standing death metal bands in existence. With brutally crushing vocals and guitars that harmonize to the perfect note every time, Dark Tranquillity never will tarnish their veteran death metal status. Touring in support of their 10th studio album, Construct, which has been called \"one of their most creative and diverse releases in quite a few years,\" by Chad Bowar of About.com and Kyle Ward of Sputnikmusic says Construct is \"the most palpable and poignant of their entire discography, due in large part to its focus on dark, melodramatic tones in the synths and the swift, tight melodies that make up the guitar leads.\" Dark Tranquillity is a force to be reckoned with.
