When he was a kid, Jyrki Pekka Emil Linnankivi (aka Jyrki 69) ran into his local record store to buy his first Cramps album. When he asked if he could listen to the album before buying it, the clerk stopped him and said, \"you don't have to listen to a Cramps record to know it is good\". It is with this mentality that the young Jyrki set out to create a glam/goth band that fans could forever trust to rock their world. Citing a wide array of influences who include Elvis Presley, Glenn Danzig, David Bowie and Jim Morrison. His brooding baritone has drawn comparisons to Type O Negative, Iggy Pop, and Sisters Of Mercy's Andrew Eldritch. In 1989, he began writing and performing with The 69 Eyes, where he remained (and found great success) well into the second decade of the 21st century. In June 2017 he finally dropped his debut solo album, Helsinki Vampire, via Cleopatra Records and is looking forward to debuting his new songs to a live American audience.
