Secret Psychedelica presents its annual Cancer psytrance show on Saturday, July 12th 2025. Continuing the tradition started in 2019, the event will feature producers and DJs born under the fourth sign of the zodiac. This year, the Cancer lineup features a rare psytrance set from Treavor Moontribe, a true pioneer of the US electronic music scene! Secret Psychedelica also welcomes for the first time in San Francisco, Peachswitch from San Diego and GreenTree Records artist, Circuit Tree.

Treavor Moontribe is one of the founders of the Los Angeles based \"Moontribe Collective\" and its legendary full moon desert gatherings. Since 1993, these events have been at the core of Southern California's underground electronic music scene and these events are still ongoing to this day. As a DJ, it's always been Treavor's diversity that has set him apart as his love for music spans multiple genres and his sets reflect this. In the mid 90s, Treavor was one of the key figures in the Los Angeles underground scene to play psytrance and he continued to push the sound with bookings around the country and globally for over a quarter century. Then came his psytrance hiatus to focus on other musical ventures including production work and performing as Desert Dwellers and PheuZen while also running the record labels Dreaming Awake and Alien Breakdance. His psytrance sets became stories of legend and left a big void for fans of the Treavor Moontribe psychedelic trance experience. Lucky for San Francisco Bay Area psytrance fans, after 13 billions years, Treavor has decided return to his roots for one special night to play a psytrance set in the City. (Editors note: Treavor Moontribe's last psytrance set in San Francisco may have been at the DNA Lounge in 2004 for a Thump Radio show)

Making her Northern California debut at Cancer 2025 will be Organic Circuitry resident DJ, Peachswitch. With a career that started in Russia, Peachswitch began playing various parties in 2018 bringing her classically trained musical knowledge to use in creating well-crafted sets built on thoughtful structure, strong sense of flow, and emotional depth. Her distinctive style brings an expressive touch to psytrance, a genre she connected with as a true form of self-expression. In 2022, Peachswitch moved to the US and her skill at weaving playful or deep messages into her music quickly caught the attention of local audiences along with an opportunity to sign to Sculpted Sounds, a US record label that represents North American full on and progressive psychedelic trance artists. Peachswitch is coming off an epic performance at Psytribe's Spring Frequency event earlier this year and will connect with San Francisco psytrancers for the first time at Cancer 2025!

If you haven't noticed the pattern yet, every odd year of the Cancer party, house music grabs control of the second room. With it being 2025, tech house, bass house, and progressive house will be the main agenda of this years consortium of Northern California Cancer DJs. Leading the cast will be Justin Hale and his son Justin Fowler of Simply Cosmic Productions in Sacramento followed by Eddy Moran and Circuit Tree in direct support. Originally from the South Bay, Justin Hale helped co-found Secret Society, a weekly club night in Santa Clara that spawned Secret Psychedelica, this psytrance monthly, in May of 2001. Even though Justin Hale made a name for himself as one of South Bay's champions of funky disco house, his support for psychedelic electronic music helped form the strong foundations of Secret Psychedelica. It's with great honor that Justin Hale returns to the lineup for the first time in almost two decades because without him, Secret Psychedelica would not exist. No stranger to the Secret Psychedelica nights, Eddy Moran is a member of the psytrance crew MindFlux and has brought alien communication to practically every one of Secret Psychedelica's Cancer events including a Piece of Psy in 2019. Making his Secret Psychedelica debut will be GreenTree Records artist, Circuit Tree. Both Eddy and Circuit Tree will flip things over from their usual psytrance programming to the evocative sounds of house music for the evening.

As with past Cancer gatherings, the night will begin with a slightly different vibration than other Secret Psychedelica nights. Hometown Queen of Broken Beats, DJ Luv-Le of Fraktured SF will get things started with a psy-breaks set that's sure to spice things up so be sure to arrive early. And of course, Secret Psychedelica residents Synwrks and Michael Liu will be on hand to carve out the remaining times for the evening. Come celebrate with the Crabs! All PSYgns welcome!!
