Israel is not typically known for producing EDM stars (olive oil, soda streams, and new tech more easily comes to mind), so Riot's 2016 move to the sunny streets of LA is a good one. The duo met through a friend and got to crafting beats in 2012. Once stateside, they finally released an EP to back up their many collabs with big hitters like Dirtyphonics and Slander. Heavy bass, a melodic lean, and ruthless, unexpected drops make for amazing originals and remixes. Riot has remixed Knife Party, and won a remix contest for fellow Israelis and early electronica pioneers Infected Mushroom. These guys make glitchy bass music that is insanely good for partying - and they know it, even offering a Bar Mitzvah bundle as part of their merch. Have any local LA tweens booked them for their temple of dubstep shindig? Unknown. But you can bet that would be one for the books.
