Off stage, bass music aficionado Vincent (aka Robert Hughes) looks like he could be just about any young Canadian: happy go lucky, barely legal, and bespectacled, outfitted with a Winnipeg Jets jersey and wave of brown hair. On stage, he flaps around maniacally behind his rig and there's no doubt about who he is: mega producer, sound creator, and energy maker who has just embarked on his first headlining tour this year. Hard trap drops mix with delightful rhythms in both his originals and critically acclaimed remixes, and his EP \"For You\" reads like a damn chronicle of love and heartbreak. It's easy for EDM fans of all stripes to fall in love with Vincent, and don't count out the pop and hiphop fans either - Vincent calls on those influences often. The DJ/producer only recently changed to this stage name, ditching the virtually ungooglable monker XVII in favor of the slightly more search friendly Vincent which happens to be his real middle name. Live, be prepared for non-stop energy because Vincent has already proclaimed his mantra for the forseeable future: less bops, more slaps.
