Secret Psychedelica presents its fourth annual Cancer party on Saturday, July 13th, 2024. Continuing the annual tradition, the evening will feature producers and DJs born under the fourth sign of the zodiac. This custom came to the DNA Lounge back in July of 2019 when Pisces Music presented a Piece of Psy, an unofficial Cancer party that featured Sentinel 7 of TesseracTstudio. Now, after a hiatus in the music industry, Sentinel 7 returns to the City for the first time in 5 years to unleash his brand of high energy psytrance upon the dance floor accompanied by a collection of Cancerian DJs!

As you may or may not already know, Sentinel 7 is none other than renowned US trance producer, Evan Pearce. Evan's debut electronic music project, Tangle, began in 2012 with three top 10 singles and countless top 20 tracks in the tech trance and uplifting trance genres. He would go on to perform at major events around the world including Electric Daisy Carnival, the Vertigo Club in Malaysia, and Es Paradis in Ibiza. In 2017, Evan decided to shift his focus to the more full on frequencies of psytrance and thus, Sentinel 7 was born. Since then, Evan has gone on to dominate the psytrance scene with his unique productions that span not only the aggressive full on sounds of psychedelic trance but also the more inviting grooves of progressive psy. High profile labels such as Perfecto Fluoro, United Beats Records, and Pharmacy Music took notice and have been pumping out his tracks to eager fans.

Joining Secret Psychedelica's Cancer lineup for the first time will be the Chilluminati's Chicago ambassador, Amarok. Another Cancer artist who's path started outside of psytrance, Amarok began as an electro and drum & bass producer in 2006. And similar to Sentinel 7, Amarok decided to follow a path towards psychedelic trance and teamed up with Kenny Sefton in 2014 to produce tunes as the duo, Future Sight. As time moved on, Amarok began to DJ more frequently and now spends the majority of his days organizing psytrance gatherings. His mission, to create positive moments for people to experience whether it be through his specialized psytrance sets or from his carefully curated parties. Let's give a warm welcome to Amarok for his San Francisco debut performance.

As with past Cancer parties, the night will begin with a slightly different vibration than the standard Secret Psychedelica nights. DJ Luv-Le of Fraktured SF and Goddy from We Push Play will get things warmed up with psy-adjacent beats. Goddy, one of the Bay Area's hardest working DJs, makes his way back from last year's Cancer lineup to deliver the progressive goodness while hometown Queen of Broken Beats, DJ Luv-Le, will deliver a special psy-breaks set that's sure to light things up. And of course, Secret Psychedelica residents Synwrks and Michael Liu will be on hand to carve out the remaining time in the psytrance room.

In the second room, Dirtybeats comes back from the Cancer 2022 lineup and has called up a full cast of Cancerian DJs to represent South Bay's premiere event production team and record label, Deep Legends. The dubstep and drum & bass roster includes Low the Ghost, Lolly, Solacesoundz, NK Ultra, and Deep Legends head honcho, Dirtybeats. The group will surely get the dance floor shaking with their strategically blended 2-step rhythms and bass-heavy loops.
